I was proud to be elected to the Victorian Parliament as your representative in 2014. I ran for public office to deliver better services and infrastructure to communities across Macedon.
I grew up in a small farming town in north-east Victoria, and I understand the needs of rural and regional areas. The towns which make up Macedon each have strong communities and hard-working families at their core. It’s the role of government to work with your community through growth, challenge and change.
Prior to being elected, I’ve worked as a teacher, a unionist, and an executive across the public, private and NGO sectors. I am committed to ensuring all Victorians have the services, jobs and infrastructure they need to thrive – no matter where you live or where you were born. I want Victoria to be a fairer state which provides everyone the opportunity to contribute and feel welcome, supported, and accepted. Every single day, I am working hard to ensure vulnerable and disadvantaged communities have access to what they need, in health, education, housing, public transport and other services.
Being your representative in Macedon is an honour I never take for granted. Some of my favourite moments as a member of parliament include visiting local schools to read stories and talk with students, sharing a cuppa with the members of local men’s sheds and neighbourhood houses, participating in community events across the electorate and enjoying all that the Daylesford – Macedon region has to offer.
I’m here to help and I look forward to working with you.
