Families in Gisborne will soon have access to the first-rate facilities they deserve, with a builder appointed construct Stage 2 of Gisborne Primary School’s upgrades.
Member for Macedon, Mary-Anne Thomas, today announced Newton Manor Constructions Pty Ltd has been appointed to build the school’s $10 million upgrade – which will see a new competition grade gymnasium and administration building, along with refurbished learning areas and playground facilities.
Stage 1 of works to the school are complete and included refurbishment of learning areas to create a more modern learning environment. Stage 2 works are expected to be complete mid-2021.
Under the Andrews Labor Government’s school building boom, a total of 100 new schools will open by 2026, ensuring every child has a great local school and a great start in life.
The Andrews Labor Government has invested $6.1 billion to deliver more than 1,400 school upgrades, supporting over 7,500 construction jobs for Victorians.
