Lancefield Primary School will soon have important new works undertaken, thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.
Member for Macedon, Mary-Anne Thomas, today announced the upgrade, with $288,900 to enhance their existing library to incorporate a discovery learning centre.
The Discovery Centre will support the school’s science program and their highly successful Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program as well as supporting students’ interest in Lancefield’s rich Wurundjeri heritage and its unique megafauna.
The Labor Government is working to strengthen community pride in schools and build the Education State so that every Victorian student gets the opportunity for a great education and every community has access to a great school.
The project is part of a $3.8 billion investment by the Government to improve classrooms, upgrade facilities and build new schools.
The school building boom has delivered more than 1,300 school upgrades and 70 new school projects across the state, supporting more than 5,000 construction jobs for Victorians.
