Labor is getting on with delivering more CFA stations for our firefighters to keep Victorians safe when they need it most.
Member for Macedon, Mary-Anne Thomas announced volunteers in Riddells Creek are a step closer to receiving a brand-new fire station.
Intrec Management Pty Ltd has been appointed as the builder at 180 Main Road.
The new station will include:
• A motor room with three drive-through bays
• More storage space
• A multipurpose room and turnout areas
• A new car park.
The design also includes solar panels, rainwater recycling and an electric vehicle charging station.
For more than 120 years, the Riddells Creek Brigade has stood by the community through its toughest moments including the 2014 Riddells Creek fire and the February 2026 Clarkefield fire.
The delivery of the new station is all part of Labor’s $109 million Capital Upgrades Program.
Labor’s track record of delivering and upgrading CFA stations continues with construction also powering ahead at Clyde, Dartmoor, Leitchville, Winnindoo and Yarram.
While Jess Wilson’s Liberals have a plan to cut $40 billion, Labor will always back the CFA with the tankers, pumpers and stations they need to keep Victorians safe.
