Men across the Romsey community will soon have access to a fantastic new Men’s Shed, thanks to support from the Andrews Labor Government.
Member for Macedon, Mary-Anne Thomas, today announced that construction on the new Romsey Men’s Shed will begin shortly.
The announcement means that men in Romsey will soon have a place they can get together, share skills and take on projects that benefit the local community.
Men’s Sheds promote health and wellbeing and enhance community engagement and are used by men from a range of different backgrounds and age groups.
The Andrews Labor Government has invested $60,000 in the project. This is on top of funding to construct a new shed in Kyneton and a first ever men’s shed in Trentham.
Men’s Sheds are an Australian success story, operating to improve the health and wellbeing of participants through social inclusion.
