The Andrews Labor Government together with VicHealth is giving Daylesford Table Tennis Club the tools it needs to grow.
Member for Macedon Mary-Anne Thomas today visited the Daylesford Table Tennis Club to see their new equipment, courtesy of a $2,340 grant from VicHealth’s Active Clubs Grants program, an initiative encouraging more Victorians to get physically active. The grant has provided the club with new children’s tables, bats and balls.
Since receiving the new equipment, the club has grown to eight families and has increased female participation.
Mary-Anne Thomas said the grant has made a significant difference to Daylesford Table Tennis Club and has helped more local residents get involved in community sport.
The club is located at Victoria Park, Daylesford, and has sessions from 7:30pm on Wednesdays, 1-3pm on Fridays and 10am-12pm on Sundays.
