Delivering a great new local school for gisborne

Families in Gisborne will have access to the world-class local school their kids deserve, with a re-elected Andrews Labor Government to build a new primary school in the area.

Gisborne is a great place for families seeking good schools and a healthy, active lifestyle for themselves and their children.

This investment will make sure every child has access to a great local school.

As part of the $850 million investment to be delivered by a re-elected Labor Government, we will build Gisborne South Primary which will open in 2022.

Across the state, investment from a re-elected Labor Government will see 45 schools open within the next four years.

A special planning fund for another 55 schools will also be implemented, which will ensure families can have confidence that Victoria’s education system is well prepared as the state grows.

Every child should have a good local school and the chance to succeed in life, and only a re-elected Labor Government will deliver that for kids across Gisborne.
