Victoria’s road network is set for a major boost under the Andrews Labor Government’s Building Works package – with $58 million for increased road maintenance and resurfacing.
Drivers across the Macedon Ranges and Hepburn regions are set for a smoother and safer drive, with essential maintenance to take place on some of our most crucial roads.
The roads set to benefit from essential maintenance include:
Over 16 kilometres of Kilmore-Lancefield Road 9 kilometres of Heathcote-Kyneton Road 5 kilometres of Myrniong-Trentham Road 2 kilometres of Daylesford-Ballarat Road 2 kilometres of Ballan-Daylesford Road The $58 million investment in roads is part of a 2.7 billion Building Works package, which will provide $2.7 billion towards shovel-ready projects – big and small – to get thousands of people back to work.
As we face the biggest economic challenge in generations, and as industry and business find new and innovative ways to adapt, the Victorian Government is rolling up our sleeves and playing its part to drive new economic activity – and with it, creating thousands of new jobs across the state.
As well as opportunity for road construction workers, the package will create direct jobs for painters, plasterers, gardeners, engineers, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, maintenance workers, administration staff and many others.
