Students at Gisborne Primary School are a step closer to the facilities they deserve, with Maddison Architects appointed to design a $10 million upgrade of the school.
Member for Macedon, Mary-Anne Thomas, visited Gisborne Primary School today to announce the appointment of Maddison Architects and discuss the project with staff and students.
Maddison Architects Director Peter Maddison is an award-winning architect and current host of Grand Designs Australia.
The $10 million upgrade, which was part of the 2018/19 Capital Works program, will go towards improving facilities at Gisborne Primary School, including the demolition of the current, under-sized school gym, and replacing it with extra classrooms and a brand-new competition grade gymnasium.
The Labor Government is building the Education State so every Victorian student can get a great education and every community has access to a great local school.
This includes an unprecedented $3.8 billion investment to improve classrooms, upgrade facilities and build new schools across the state.
This school building boom has delivered more than 1,300 school upgrades and 70 new school projects across the state, supporting more than 5,000 construction jobs for Victorians.
