Grants to build accessible amenities open in macedon

The Andrews Labor Government is building more amenities for people with disability, with Councils, tourism attractions and destinations, and local not for profit organisations, all encouraged to apply for grants to build Changing Places facilities in Macedon.

Member for Macedon, Mary-Anne Thomas today launched the latest round of grants, valued at up to $180,000 each, that will support Victoria’s network of Changing Places facilities to continue to grow.

Each Changing Place has a height-adjustable, adult-sized changing bench, a tracking hoist system and enough space for two people, making community spaces, including popular tourist destinations and events, more accessible for people with disability.

The new grant round follows improvements to the national Changing Places website to make it more accessible, secure and functional for all users.

Funded by the Labor Government, the redeveloped website will make it easier to find:
