Seven local sports clubs across Macedon are receiving a grant from the Allan Labor Government to help increase opportunities for women and girls.
Member for Macedon Mary-Anne Thomas today congratulated Lancefield Football Netball Club, Daylesford Hepburn United Soccer Club, Daylesford Martial Arts Tang Soo Tao, Macedon Ranges Tennis Association, Trentham Golf Club, Woodend Golf Club and the Woodend Tennis Club for securing funding in the 2023-24 Change Our Game Community Activation Grants Program.
The program offers grants of up to $10,000 to eligible organisations to provide more opportunities for women and girls to take part in community sport
Lancefield Football/Netball Club Inc: $9,890
Increase participation in the Lancefield Football Netball Club’s Women’s team and increase interest in the sport across the community.
Daylesford Hepburn United Soccer Club: $4,950
The professional development of our Club's Women, Girls and Gender Diverse Participation Policy which is a key action for 2024 within the Club's endorsed active 'Women and Girls in Football Action Plan'.
Daylesford Martial Arts Tang Soo Tao inc: $5,000
10 week Martial Arts fitness and self defence courses. Strength, conditioning and fitness drills. Martial arts and self defence skills. Traditional martial arts principals delivered in a comfortable and intentional environment.
Macedon Ranges Tennis Association: $2,000
MRTA Junior Girls Academy is a specialized coaching and tennis program for girls that play tennis competition in a MRTA competition and are aged between 9-16 years old. It also provides coaching opportunities for junior female coaches.
Trentham Golf Club: $4,900
Graduating from our beginner's clinic and elevate women's skills with our professional program designed for women. Receiving personalised coaching
from a golf trainer and access training aids to fast-track skills learning. Helping bridge women skill set to the next level with guidance and tools for accelerated learning will increase participation.
Woodend Golf Club Inc: $5,000
Woodend Golf Club Inc will extend its successful 'Women get into Golf' program, to help a further 25 women learn to play golf and integrate into our golfing community in a well-supported manner. Our tailored program will consist of; professional coaching, a buddy system, significantly discounted membership, and designated tee off times to allow women to develop their skills in a safe and welcoming environment.
Woodend Tennis Club Inc: $5,000
A coach facilitated girls/women cardio session aimed to attract past juniors,women looking to get fit, a social hit or those looking to try tennis for the first time. Encourage participation in a fun, social, non competitive environment and help fund membership.

The Change Our Game Community Activation Grants Program highlights the Allan Labor Government’s ongoing commitment to gender equality across all levels of the Victorian sport and active recreation sector.
Since the Program was established in 2018, 580 grants have been provided to support community sport and recreation organisations to host initiatives ranging from participation days to community forums and educational sessions.
