The Andrews Labor Government is delivering the Outside School Hours Care services families need in Macedon, with a new round of grants now open to set up services at more schools around the state.
Member for Macedon, Mary-Anne Thomas today announced that applications are now open for the third round of the Labor Government’s Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Establishment Grants Initiative.
The round will provide grants of up to $75,000 to a further 100 schools, supporting them to set up an Outside School Hours Care service – helping busy families juggle their schedules and supporting parents to get back into the workforce once their children are at school.
The initiative is part of an $81.6 million Labor Government investment to support the establishment of 400 new OSHC services across the state, and applications for Round 3 will open on 6 June.
In the past eight years, the Labor Government has invested $12.8 billion in building new schools and more than 1,850 school upgrades, creating around 17,400 jobs in construction and associated industries. "This support will make an outside school hours facility viable for many of our state’s smaller schools – and it will mean so much to busy working families across the state."

"The hours before and after school each day shouldn’t stop families from getting back into work or study once their children are at school – this fund is making sure schools across Victoria can care for our kids when families need it."
