Hundreds of kinders are set to benefit from new and improved outdoor play spaces, plus televisions, laptops and tablets as part of the Andrews Labor Government’s latest kindergarten grants round.
Eleven kindergartens in Macedon have shared in $40,734 of grants as a part of this year’s Children’s Facilities Capital Program minor grants round.
Information and Technology Grants ($15,934):
Swinburne Avenue Children’s Centre ($1,500) – New desktop computer Romsey Kindergarten ($1,500) – New desktop computer Gisborne Kindergarten ($1,500) – New desktop computer Riddells Creek Kindergarten ($1,500) – New desktop computer Manna Gum Family and Children’s Centre ($1,500) – Advertising screens Woodend Kindergarten ($1,500) – Advertising screens Lancefield Kindergarten ($1,500) – Advertising screens Lady Brooks Kindergarten ($1,500) – Advertising screens Goodstart Early Learning Kyneton ($1,500) – New desktop computer Goodstart Early Learning Woodend ($1,500) – New desktop computer Trentham Kindergarten ($934) – Purchase of two iPads Minor Infrastructure Refurbishment Grants ($24,800):
Swinburne Avenue Children’s Centre ($4,200) – Create and beautify the current sandpit area with a small raised calming and sensory rock garden situated between the two rooms.
Gisborne Kindergarten ($9,000) – Relocate the current fence to increase outdoor capacity and incorporate a water tank, a vegetable garden and natural play space.
Lady Brooks Kindergarten ($4,200) – Create a small raised calming and sensory rock garden.
Romsey Kindergarten ($7,400) – Replace existing shed with a larger shed with shelving.
The minor infrastructure refurbishment grants provides grants of up to $10,000 to improve the amenity of indoor or outdoor spaces used by children.
Information technology grants of up to $1,500 are available to purchase desktops, laptops, tablets and televisions used for either learning programs or administration use.
The Labor Government is investing a record $123.6 million to build, expand and improve early years infrastructure across Victoria to ensure local families can continue to access great local kindergartens, including $10 million targeting growth areas.
Families are set to benefit from the Government’s $202.1 million Education State Early Childhood Reform Plan, which provides strong support in early childhood so kids are ready for kinder and ready for school.
