Women in the Macedon Ranges will be inspired to get active thanks to VicHealth’s powerful This Girl Can – Victoria campaign.
In partnership with VicHealth, the Kyneton Netball Football Club and the Gisborne Football Netball Club, Member for Macedon, Mary-Anne Thomas, is inviting local women to get active by providing sponsorship to the clubs to enable them to host open netball sessions.
Women of all ages and abilities will get an opportunity to take part in the inclusive open netball sessions at the Kyneton Toyota Sports & Aquatic Centre and Gisborne Secondary College, with dates and times to be confirmed in the coming weeks. There will be no charge to take part.
The This Girl Can – Victoria campaign is a local version of the world-renowned campaign by Sport England which inspired an incredible 3.9 million English women to get active.
This Girl Can – Victoria aims to build upon this success and empower women across the state to get active and overcome feelings of judgement, fear and embarrassment which are stopping them from getting active.
Local women are encouraged to join the This Girl Can – Victoria movement by heading to thisgirlcan.com.au and join the community on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and follow #ThisGirlCanVIC.
