Trentham and its surrounding communities have had their say on local transport needs during a forum hosted by Transport for Victoria.
The forum came on the back of a campaign run by Trentham local William Morris, who has been campaigning for more services between Trentham, Kyneton and Woodend.
The Government heard from locals about their ideas to improve local transport services to help identify local transport needs and potential solutions to guide government investment in local public transport.
As part of this year’s Budget, Trentham and Daylesford will receive more buses and better connections, with the exact scope to be determined through consultation.
Local transport forums are a key part of the Andrews Labor Government’s Regional Network Development Plan – Victoria’s first long-term strategy for better regional public transport.
