SUPPORT FOR MACEDON ANIMAL WELFARE NOT-FOR-PROFIT

Not-for-profit animal care organisations are receiving crucial support to purchase or upgrade their equipment and expand their services thanks to backing from the Allan Labor Government. Member for Macedon, Mary-Anne Thomas today announced that Bunjil’s Rest Equine was successful in receiving a $13,980 Round 11 Animal Welfare Fund grant.

The Allan Labor Government is backing Macedon sporting clubs to break down barriers to participation and get more community members involved in local sport.Minister for Community Sport Ros Spence recently announced the latest recipients of the Sporting Club Grants Program with more than 400 grants of up to $4,000 going to local clubs across the state including here in Macedon.

10,000 SUPPORTED AS PHARMACY PILOT PASSES HALFWAY MARK

More than 10,000 consultations have been delivered as part of the Allan Labor Government’s Community Pharmacist Statewide Pilot – ensuring Victorians are getting the basic care they need, without having to wait to get an appointment with a busy local doctor.Macedon has ten of the 766 participating pharmacies across the state, the pilot has been helping locals as it passes the halfway mark.

SUCCESS IN ROMSEY WITH DUO SCORING TIMBER INNOVATION FUNDING

The Allan Labor Government is continuing to provide support to local businesses and workers in timber industry communities with applications for Round 3 of the Victorian Timber Innovation Fund (VTIF) now open. Round 2 of the Timber Innovation Fund will support 29 successful applications from 28 native timber businesses totalling over $7 million, including two businesses in Romsey.

The Allan Labor Government is supporting young people across regional Victoria with grants for youth-led events and activities at the month-long Youth Fest 2024. Member for Macedon, Mary-Anne Thomas today announced that four local organisations are the recipients of $2,000 each in grants to host events and activities led by and for young people in Macedon as part of Youth Fest 2024, to be held in September this year.
