MORE PARKS FOR PUPS ACROSS VICTORIA

The Allan Labor Government is investing $5 million to build 16 new or upgraded dog parks across the state, providing Victorians and their furry friends more green open spaces to enjoy close to home.Member for Macedon, Mary-Anne Thomas is encouraging local councils to put forward new ideas for dog parks or existing dog parks that need an upgrade as part of Round 2 of the New and Upgraded Dog Parks program.

DAYLESFORD HOSPITAL OPERATING THEATRE UPGRADE COMPLETE

The Allan Labor Government is delivering world-class surgical facilities to locals across the Daylesford and Macedon Ranges region, with important upgrade works now complete at Daylesford Health.Minister for Health Infrastructure and Member for Macedon Mary-Anne Thomas today inspected the refurbished operating theatre – made possible by a $6.14 million grant as part of the Regional Health Infrastructure Fund (RHIF).

GIVING YOUNG PEOPLE THE FACTS THEY NEED TO STOP VAPING

The Allan Labor Government is backing a new initiative that will see local councils, universities, sporting clubs and community organisations join forces to help stop young people vaping. Minister for Health Mary-Anne Thomas today announced a $2 million investment to deliver workshops, community events, and develop a peer-to-peer digital platform for young people aged 14 to 25 – to educate young people about the harms of vaping.

SUN’S SHINING IN MACEDON THANKS TO SOLAR HOME SAVINGS

The Allan Labor Government has helped thousands of families slash an annual $279 million off their energy bills – with more than five million individual solar panels installed on rooftops, thanks to our Solar Homes program.And as of this month, Solar Homes has delivered 2 gigawatts of power across Victoria – close to double the amount generated by Yallourn and nearly as much as Loy Yang A.

Minister for Community Sport Ros Spence today announced applications for the latest round of the Labor Government’s Country Football and Netball Program are now open.Grants of up to $250,000 are available for regional and outer metropolitan councils to apply for grants for sports infrastructure developments including court lighting upgrades, changeroom overhauls, new pavilions and more, to benefit their local clubs and communities.
