FUNDING OUR VIBRANT CALENDER OF MULTICULTURAL EVENTS

The Allan Labor Government continues to support Victoria’s vibrant calendar of multicultural festivals and events, with more funding available for communities to celebrate and share culture and traditions through the Multicultural Festivals and Events Program (MFE).Minister for Multicultural Affairs Ingrid Stitt announced that grants of up to $50,000 are available through a new round of the MFE Program and Regional Multicultural Festivals and Events Fund to host festivals and events that promote and celebrate cultural diversity and foster inclusivity for all Victorians.

$400 SCHOOL SAVING BONUS WILL HELP BUSY MACEDON FAMILIES

Macedon families will be able to spend the School Saving Bonus on more items when the Victorian Government’s once-off $400 bonus becomes available later this year to all students at government schools and eligible non-government school students. Mary-Anne Thomas today announced that the School Saving Bonus – that can cover the costs of uniforms, camps, excursions, and other extracurricular activities through the year – can also be spent on textbooks.

PLANNING FOR NEW KINDERS IN HEPBURN

Hepburn Shire can start planning for new kinder facilities in Daylesford, thanks to a grant from the Allan Labor Government. Mary-Anne Thomas, Member for Macedon today announced Hepburn Shire will receive $150,000. The grant is one of ten local councils and kindergarten service providers sharing in$1.3 million for planning new kindergarten building projects, thanks to the Labor Government’s investment in early learning.
